Courtyard ChurchWelcome to Courtyard Church.com. We are located right next to the public library in downtown Skiatook. Courtyard started in 2005 as two families in a home, and has since grown. When you walk into Courtyard, it’s like you are walking into a town square and then into a courtyard. We promise that you will feel welcome and comfortable, and we also promise that you will enjoy your time here.

The music is great, kind of a 70’s rock and R&B mix; and the message is straight forward and relevant.

Courtyard. Sundays at 10am.

Core Values Statement

  • A People of Worship – God is worthy of our worship and praise. We want to devote significant time to intimate expression of love to God with open hearts and interaction with Him both in public settings as well as private times.
  • Biblically Based – We believe that the Bible is God’s Word and serves as our authority in faith and living. We stand firm where it stands firm and remain flexible where it is flexible.
  • Christ Centered– Jesus is Lord and Head of the church, and it is for Him that we exist. Living a life of full devotion to Him is normal for the believer.
  • Holy Spirit Led–We are determined to depend on God’s direction and power so that any observer over time would conclude that “God is truly among us.” We want to extend our faith into an adventurous walk with the Holy Spirit to accomplish that which could only occur through supernatural means.
  • Committed to Community– We desire our fellowship to be a caring family that values community, informality, humor, fun, commitment and loyalty. We believe life-change happens best in the context of healthy relationships. In our pursuit of spiritual growth, we will acknowledge our imperfection and provide an environment in which people are free to risk, fail and find grace and encouragement in time of need. We will equip and encourage each other to grow according to God’s design for the individual and the family unit. We view all believers as part of our church family.
  • Passionate about Prayer – We believe God speaks and listens to His children. We pray to connect with God and receive guidance and spiritual strength. Daily prayer is essential to the life of a believer.
  • Authentic in Our Walk – Authenticity, integrity, openness and sincerity will define us. “The goal of this command is love which comes from a pure heart and a good conscience and a sincere faith.”
  • Making God Known to Others – God wants all people to know Him intimately and commands us to share this message with others. Therefore, we will give considerable time and effort to reaching out to those who don’t know Him.
  • Relevant to Our World – We believe that we are to find ways to effectively bring the message “to the ends of the earth” in order to make disciples. We believe this will require careful scrutiny of everything we do – new practices and old – and a willingness to be creative, embrace flexibility, and change when necessary within biblical parameters.
  • Focused on Ministry and Service – We believe that every Christian has spiritual gifts, should know what they are, and be actively using them. We also believe that service is a form of worshipping God and is an excellent way to express God’s love to others as well as develop character. Therefore, we will equip people to use their spiritual gifts and provide opportunities to serve.
